Picture[edit]

I think the picture is wrong, It was taken in Uganda, but P. foai does not occur in Uganda. The only Piliocolobus species in Uganda is tephrosceles. Regards --80.108.59.151 (talk) 20:29, 6 June 2008 (UTC) de:Benutzer:Bradypus[reply]

Where do you see that the picture was taken in Uganda? - UtherSRG (talk) 05:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On the original FLICKR-Page. It has the tags Uganda and Kibale National Park (On this page is another (presumably wrong) picture of this species. But I can't distinguish this Piliocolobus-species by seeing them, it is only based on the range. Regards --80.108.59.151 (talk) 07:37, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was wrong. I hadn't seen these comments on the talk page, but have corrected it now (removed photo from this page to Ugandan RC). The photographer probably used Kingdon's guide (see ref. in article), which pretty much is the best (IMO, anyway) field guide currently available that covers mammals from all of Africa, but it doesn't recognized the Ugandan RC as a distinct species, hence the confusion. 212.10.79.182 (talk) 21:28, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I can barely keep up with bird taxonomy. I had no idea the reds had been split even more. But I will amend the Flickr page to reflect this and avoid future confusion. Sabine's Sunbird talk 07:32, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Then I guess [1] is also not the one we're looking for, being in Uganda near Kibale. I guess that means Flickr cannot solve the photo problem for this species. Richard001 (talk) 08:12, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
