Expansion of "History" section[edit]

I've reverted the last edits made by 2.28.84.32 (talk · contribs) over unsourcing concerns. My rationale is based upon the fact that there is a reference supporting the expanded sentence, and I assume the original author would have added that information if it was included in the reference.
