WikiProject Mexico??[edit]

How so? Gustavo Arellano writes in the United States for a publication printed in the United States aimed at an audience that lives in the United States. WikiProject Mexico is about topics concerning Mexico specifically. If anything the Mexican flag shown on the site should have a U.S. flag included since Arellano gears his prose towards both audiences and is in fact a resident of the United States. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.119.151.233 (talk) 01:47, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed and good point. He writes for a publication whose home region is seen as a conservative bastion of Caucasian hegemony (Orange County, California) and even the title is sort of tongue in cheek, presenting the Mexican point view as a humorous curiosity (though this culture dominates much of Southern California. Although I figure this a simple oversight, the column is clearly aimed at U.S. readers, and it's superficial (almost offensive) to lump this topic w/ the Mexican nation...
