The German 'Akt' refers to an artistic nude, certainly inappropriate at this age. It would be interesting to know if this was the original title intent of Van Gogh or one added later by another. The Painter has no history of interest in toddlers as nude models so I'd like to assume 'Cute and/or innocence' was his motif, in which case the word 'Akt' should be replaced.
