Highly contestable map (as usual, Huntington had no idea what he was writing about). Besides, this is the worst example for illustrating the article "Western Europe".

Good map. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.3.232.44 (talk) 23:27, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is a fairly-good map of the modern neo-Catholic/Orthodox divide in Christendom except that parts of western Romania -- those with significant German or Hungarian majorities -- are either Catholic or "neo-Catholic" (that is, Protestant). But as a cultural divide between the Latin-influenced world and the Greek-influenced world? In linguistic heritage? Not so.

Romanians are proud of their Roman heritage. Their language is undeniably Latin in origin, and Romanian given names are often those of Roman Emperors. Bulgarians and Serbs don't even pretend to be heirs to any Roman influence.Pbrower2a (talk) 13:50, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
