It is my belief that there has been a mistake and that this picture is of "featured picture" quality. CFCF (talk) 18:13, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It used to be (per Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Image:Tsunami by hokusai 19th century.jpg), but Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/delist/The Great Wave off Kanagawa occurred.
The currently featured picture is File:Great Wave off Kanagawa2.jpg (per commons:Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Great Wave off Kanagawa2.jpg). -- Quiddity (talk) 19:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The width of the reproduction is too narrow. There's several versions uploaded from the originals at the MET. [1] and they clearly are broader. Tat (talk) 07:48, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
