Direction Mix-up[edit]

Since when did Okinawa use boustrophedon? I think someone was accidentally switching from leftwards to rightwards and back while compiling this image. 北山 (Hokuzan = Northern Mountains) and 南山 (Nanzan = Southern Mountains) go left while 中山 (Chūzan = Middle Mountains) goes right. This is inconsistent and I highly doubt any good map would have ever been so unclear. Contemporaneous documents should tend to show downwards lines and some Chinese cartographers could have chosen a compass bearing besides North to point up, but that does not excuse this. It is wonderful that this map is here and I congratulate both the creator and poster as well as their intermediaries but this really should be fixed now. :)--04:52, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
