These houses are not, by strict definition, row houses. They are, in fact, "duplexes" or "semi-detached townhouses." The local Philadelphia term is "Twins": two separate houses that share one wall. Here in Philadelphia a true row house has to be three or more residences that are completely attached; in other words, there are homes in the middle that are attached on either side. These "Twins" are in my neighborhood, I know them well, and they have open passageways (or "breezeways" as we call them)next to each house. 130.91.146.242 (talk) 03:14, 8 October 2013 (UTC)buddmar[reply]
