Why is it that there is no such chemical that has the pH value of 14 ???

The choice of pinks to represent the alkaline pH are very poor. Universal Indicator would show dark blues tending to purple. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daviesdan (talkcontribs) 01:23, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree that the colours are not what I would expect when testing for pH, but purples are very difficult to represent on screens, so care must be taken if the change is made. Note that the original file is on Wikimedia Commons, so all changes should be made there. Kat (talk) 08:16, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
