This graph is actually incorrect, the MC-curve should cut the Q-axis exactly in the middle between the origin and the point where the demand curve cuts the Q-axis.

This is due to the fact that D is linear:

deriving the turnover (p.Q) to Q results in the MC curve:

D = a + b.Q

Q.D(Q) = a.Q+ b.Q²

MC = a + 2b.Q

Improve[edit]

Please improve this graph with more clear labeling, it can be quite difficult for someone with no economics background to understand. I recommend adding an arrow for the marginal revenue line, as well as moving producer surplus next to CS/DWL and adding an arrow.
