Original research[edit]

@Shersingh8: You have created this image today, but have not indicated a reliable source for your work. Please provide accessible reliable sources that support your design. Otherwise the file should be deleted as original research. Apuldram (talk) 15:35, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Apuldram: The image created by me, is based on a painting in the Sikh temple Harmandir Sahib (Source:http://www.sikhmuseum.com/nishan/empire/religious.html#religious12). I will try to indicate it as a reliable source.

The source looks reliable, but your work differs quite a bit from the flag depicted in the photograph of the painting. Yours is yellow-brown, the picture shows blue. Your sword curves downward, the picture's upward. I would say there is too much artistic license, which ((unless you have more information) makes it original research. @Apuldram: Hi, again! Well, this flag (made by me) is for the Sikh Confederacy (Misl) era. Colours were usually changed during that time-period. I've tried to make another flag and I think this one, even though more like the one provided by the source, is much earlier...

That looks exactly like the one in the picture. I see you (as Charles Singh) created that in April 2012 and described it then as "Banner of Old Sikh warrior bands during Mughal-Sikh Wars (or later)". I suggest you use that in Sikh Empire until a source for a later version is found. Apuldram (talk) 13:16, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Apuldram: Well, I've found a source, which has a later painting (Misl] era), and I think that this one is more like the kattar dhal talwar.jpg. Source:http://www.sikhmuseum.com/nishan/empire/religious.html#religious15
