This is a false picture. There was no plane which hit the pentagon. The peice which is shown here is virtually unharmed. It would be atleast burnt and charred.

This is false. The camera (Nikon E950)has a single-focus lens. the fire truck semms to be the focal point of the photoghraph, but the chunk of meatal is clearly 'shopped in for several reasons: It is in focus, as is the truck. the glare from the flash is visible without the meatal, but the meatal is still dark. The Meta-Date is wrong. If it wasn't edited, then the date would probably be 9/11/01.--24.166.109.182 (talk) 20:42, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This picture is completely legitimate. This piece of the fuselage most likely came apart before or at the time of impact. After studying similar photographs of plane crashes it is easy to understand how pieces of a vehicle can appear unburned or un-charred. Pieces of the space shuttle "Challenger" were recovered completely intact virtually unburned. The force of the explosion propelled the debris at such a rate of speed that it was not affected by the burning fuel or other combustible materials onboard. -For example: Light a firecracker, release it to a safe distance and wait for the explosion. After detonation, examine the pieces of cardboard and paper remaining. You will plainly see that much of what is left is unburned - torn and tattered - but unmolested by fire. -Same basic principle exists in this case.

For those who want to challenge the facts of what occured on September 11, 2001 - at least back up your statements with meaningful data. Do not show disrespect to our Government and especially to all the victims who lost their innocent lives on that day.

If you don't want to support the greatest country in the world and its Government, than by all means, board an airplane and leave. Be careful, however; you never know when some hatemonger is going to take you and your family on a little detour and fly 250,000 lbs. of steel - 500 mph - into your childs former kidergarten class room. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.173.211.157 (talk) 03:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
