Reasons to keep[edit]

"Orphaned file with no obvious value in transferring to Commons" is not a reason to delete. Any media file that has educational value or potentially may be used in an article is within scope both at Commons and here. There is no deadline for any editor to include a free image in an article.

This image is a title page of a significant pamphlet produced by Jonathan Swift, under a pseudonym. This is the second in the series of Drapier's Letters. There is an article Drapier's Letters which gives background and some idea of the importance of the pamphlet. There is a different version of the title page in the article as File:SwiftLetterHarding.png but this image is from a 1735 collection by George Faulkner, Swift's primary publisher in Ireland at the time, and the first to collect the Drapier's Letters. A companion image to this, also from Faulkner's collection, is included in the article as File:Drapiers Letter 5.JPG, the fifth pamphlet title page, and the similarity in style can be seen. It is blatantly obvious that this image is of educational value and could be used in the article or a related one.

I've therefore declined the prod and will defend any AfD with the same argument. --RexxS (talk) 04:00, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
