Artefacts in image[edit]

Is this image at its native resolution? There are horrible artefacts in, for example, the rims of his spectacles. Kaustuv Chaudhuri 14:14, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is the exact file used on the Fox News website. I noticed the issue with the spectacles, but it appears to be present in the original photograph supplied by the Virginia State Police. See, for example, this version from another news organization. —David Levy 14:36, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Seems like a scan from his Student ID. The photo I sent to my university was digitized and, as a result, my student ID photo is heavily pixelated. -Etafly 21:27, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It probably is a scan from a student ID, since the police might make you remove glasses, hats, bandannas, etc. TopherGZ (talk) 19:08, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Reversion[edit]

The lowest resolution shot, complete with name and site, looks like the correct aspect ratio. The second version, bigger, looks too wide. The latest version is at about the same width. If anyone concurs, then please let them make the reversion. If my impression sees any steel in my head, then I'll do it myself. BrewJay (talk) 13:11, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
