It would be interesting to know, if there are any Red Army rifles to be seen behind the backs of those 'liberated Slavic brothers'. I have to admit that the picture in hand seems to be more finely conducted than similar images taken in Estonia, June 1940. E.g while not very enthusiastic, the faces here are not so despaired either, as were the ones in the pictures of the 'liberated Estonians' 1940. Constanz - Talk 13:09, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Source's validity question[edit]

Please give a little background of the web-site http://www.bialorus.pl . I almost do not read Polish. What makes this web-site a reliable source? Also, who is the author of this article? What are his credentials? --Irpen 19:06, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bialorus.pl is the portal of Belarusian minority of Poland, co-financed by Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs. The same article is also available here. Both are online versions of the article published in „Białoruskie Zeszyty Historyczne” (НА СТАРОНКАХ КАМУНІКАТУ, Biełaruski histaryczny zbornik) 20 (2003), p. 186-188. This is a publication by Białoruskie Towarzystwo Historyczne (Bielorusian Historical Society) in Białystok. [1] See also [2]. Polish ministry lists the organization and the publication as 'one of the biggest Belarusian organizations/publications' in Poland.[3] The publication itself also receives financial aid from Polish government. Piotrus Original research and violation of WP:SYNTH[edit]

Dear All,

User Piotrus attributed information taken from one source - Polish newspaper journalist (that meeting were not spontaneous), and attributed it to this particular photo taken from another source. I believe that this is violation of WP:SYNTH and is original research because Piotrus has no evidence and sources proving that the particular meeting pictured at this photo was organized and was not spontaneous. Furthermore, Belarusians in Western Belarus were more than happy to meet Soviet troops because of Polonization, mass repressions and colonization of Western Belarus.
