DescriptionWilliamsville Liquor Store, Williamsville, New York - 20200820.jpg
English: Williamsville Liquor Store, 5511 Main Street, Williamsville, New York, August 2020. Standing two and a half stories in height, the building was nominated in 2014 as a local landmark by the village's Historic Preservation Committee as a fine representative example of an early-20th century mixed-use building in the Craftsman architectural style: to wit, it sports a steeply-pitched hip roof pierced in the front by a similarly hip-roofed dormer, twin bay windows on the upper story, and widely overhanging eaves, albeit without exposed rafters. The building dates roughly to the late 1920s and housed the Savoy Shop in 1956, at which time current tenant Williamsville Liquors was located a short distance down Main Street in a now-demolished building adjacent to the former Liberty Bank. The store - and its original 1950s-era neon sign - moved to its current location sometime around 1960.
