Deutsch: Warteschlange vor dem Parlamentsgebäude in Wien am 1. Tag der offenen Tür (14. Jän. 2023) im Zuge der Wiedereröffnung, nachdem es rd. 5 Jahre wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen war.
Insgesamt wurden dabei 55.000 Quadratmeter Nettogeschoßfläche in dem denkmalgeschützten Haus saniert, 40.000 Quadratmeter Böden abgebrochen und samt Technikinstallationen neu verlegt, 740 Fenster und 600 Türen saniert sowie 500 Luster in Schuss gebracht. Die Nutzfläche wurde um 10.000 Quadratmeter erhöht - durch neue Räume und ein 1.500 Quadratmeter großes Besucherzentrum im Erdgeschoß. Neu sind auch 800 Quadratmeter Gastronomiefläche und vier Terrassen mit insgesamt 400 Quadratmeter Fläche: [1], [2]. Diese Generalsanierung mit dem Umbau kostete rd. 420 Millionen Euro: [3].
