Summary

Description
English: Warwick Castle Park: Leafield Bridge The remodelling of the Castle park in the mid-18th century was a collaboration between Sir Francis Greville, Earl of Warwick, and the landscaper Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. This stone bridge across the River Avon was largely complete by 1775; it replaced an earlier wooden bridge by Brown. It is in poor condition: the gravelled carriageway has been tarmacked and the original balustrade is somewhere in the river.
