English: A view from the top of Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, looking down towards Austria.
Deutsch: Aussicht vom Zugspitz-Gipfel in Richtung Österreich (in Richtung Westen). Am Horizont ist der Allgäuer Hauptkamm zu sehen. Am linken Rand im Bildmittelgrund die Bleispitze, dahinter die Liegfeistgruppe mit der Knittelkarspitze, rechts daneben der Thaneller (alles Lechtaler Alpen). Die Bildmitte in Verlängerung der Seilbahnstütze zeigt die südlichen Ammergauer Alpen: (von vorn nach hinten) Daniel, Upsspitze, Plattberg, Pitzenegg und Kohlbergspitze.
