Description Old photograph of postcard size showing Herne Bay Carnival, Herne Bay, Kent, England. Handwriting in pencil on the back says, "Herne Bay carnival, taken outside the railway station". The photograph is stamped on the back: "Tower Studio, Herne Bay". Tower Studio was taken over from Fred C. Palmer in 1920, and was run by an unknown photographer for a few years after that, and not beyond 1939. The cars in the photograph date the picture to post-World War I, and the photograph is not of sufficient quality to be attributable to Fred C. Palmer.
