Summary

Description
English: Ton-class minesweeper HMS Stubbington (M1204) moored in Msida Creek, Malta. The ship is decorated in honour of Malta independence on 21 September 1964. The main building in the background is Whitehall Mansions, Ta’Xbiex, which at the time of the photo was the home of the WRENs (the Women's Royal Naval Service) serving in Malta. The building is now shared by the British High Commission and the Embassies of Ireland, Spain, Germany and The Netherlands.
