Summary

Description
English: The former Prince of Wales, 351 Harrow Road, Maida Vale, London. Located on the corner of Harrow Road (part of the A404) and Great Western Road the pub was part of a small chain run by Kissane Taverns. When photographed it had been forced to close a few months earlier in October 2014. Pubs have been the scene of many crimes over the centuries, but the one that "did" for this pub was both bizarre and thoroughly unpleasant. Without going into graphic detail, a male customer fell asleep on a sofa and woke in the early hours to find himself being sexually assaulted by the landlord. As a result of this and previous violent incidents there the licence was revoked in November 2014. The landlord was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. Attempts to re-open as a pub failed and by September 2016 the ground floor was in use as a Costa coffee shop. It is believed the upper floors are in residential use.
