Description
English: Stretton Bridge over River Penk Much overgrown on the upstream side the bridge carries the A5, Watling Street. It has been an important crossing point of the river from Roman times. There was the convergence of roads leading from Wroxeter and Chester. The immediate area has a number of marching camps and a settlement at Pennocrvcivm(Penkridge).
