English: St John's church. St John's church > 453375 - 903577 is an old building that was rebuilt and restored several times; the red-brick tower was built in 1765. The font > 903579 is C15, the screen > 903572 dates from the 16th century and there are several 15th century bench ends with poppyheads attached to later benches. The probably most noteworthy feature of the church is the stained glass: the east window > 903584 is by Ninian Comper (d. 1914); there are also a number of C17 Flemish glass roundels > 903588 - 903592 and fragments of medieval glass > 903593 set into some of the nave south windows.
