Description
English: Wedding evening in the Landes (department) (France) : the Roste. Three people bring la roste (roasted bread soaked in sweet wine) to a couple of newlyweds in bed. Map postally used on july 16th 1914 (!). On the back, my grandfather wrote to his future wife (and my grandmother): "When will be our turn?")
Français : Soir de noces dans les Landes : la Roste. Trois personnes apportent la roste (rôtie de pain trempée dans du vin sucré) à un couple de jeunes mariés au lit (Landes). Carte voyagée le 16/7/1914 (!). Au dos, mon grand père a écrit a destination de sa future femme (et ma grand mère): "A quand notre tour ?"
