Summary

Description
English: Soho & Winson Green railway station (site) / Soho Benson Road tram stop, West Midlands
Opened in 1854 by the Great Western Railway on its lines from Birmingham Snow Hill to both Wolverhampton and Stourbridge, this station closed in 1972. There had been four platforms plus a station building on the extreme right, where the shrubbery now grows. View south east towards Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham. The formation of the Wolverhampton line (left) was taken over by the Midland Metro who opened a tram stop named 'Soho Benson Road' on the same site in 1999. The Snow Hill to Stourbridge trains were reinstated in 1996 with the lines on the right of the image, but no platforms were provided.
