Summary

Description
English: Imperial War Museum title: In convoy from Bombay Singapore. February 1942, on board the troopship Devonshire during passage from Bombay to Singapore and Batavia (Djakarta) and return, in what was probably the last convoy to reach Singapore with troops and stores. Apart from one air raid by Japanese planes while passing through the Bangka Strait, the journey was uneventful.

Imperial War Museum photo description: Convoy bound for Batavia and Singapore. Nearest camera is SS Warwick Castle with troops aboard.
Per Harold Atcherley, the Warwick Castle was transporting elements of the 18th Infantry Division.
