Français : Dans la plupart des cas de sialometaplasia nécrosante, on pense que l’étiologie est liée à l’ischémie vasculaire. On signale des cas dans lesquels la compression vasculaire est provoquée par un lambeau de reconstruction nécrotique myo-cutané, une embolisation par une endartériectomie carotidienne, une drépanocytose, une maladie de Buerger, ou un phénomène de Raynaud.
L'association d'une néoplasie adjacente entraînant une nécrose ischémique des éléments glandulaires et les caractéristiques histologiques de la sialometaplasia nécrosante conforte ce mécanisme pathogène. Dans une étude expérimentale chez un modèle de rat, des injections d'anesthésique local ont induit une sialometaplasia nécrosante. L'usage du tabac est suggéré comme un facteur de risque étiologique possible pour la sialometaplasia nécrosante. |
