Summary

Description
English: Shaftesbury Town Hall The blue plaque on the left of the Town Hall states 'Built on the market place in 1827 by Earl Grosvenor who owned most of Shaftesbury, it replaced the open-arched New Guild Hall. Clock tower added in 1879'.

A Hovis loaf charity collection box is in front of the Town Hall. Gold Hill https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1436887 , made famous by a Hovis television advertisement, is behind the Town Hall.

The tower of St Peter's Church is on the left.
