Summary

Description
English: Scrape on Reserve This scrape for wading birds has recently been made on the Old Prison Fields of Tadnoll & Winfrith Nature reserve by Dorset Wildlife Trust. Scrapes are shallow temporary ponds, to provide wet, grassy areas which attract sandpipers, snipe and lapwings. Dragonflies attract hobbies and other small falcons which hunt them. A bird hide will soon be installed. Ground nesting birds include nightjars and Dartford warblers.
