Català: Un avió DC-6 francès adaptat per a l'extinció d'incendis es va estavellar al puig de les Canals, al massís de l'Albera, el 19 de juliol de 1986, mentre treballava per apagar un gran foc que cremava per tot l'Alt Empordà, i les restes de l'aparell continuen al lloc de la tragèdia, que va causar la mort dels quatre tripulants. A pocs metres, arran de la pista forestal una placa, difícil de llegir perquè l'escriptura és sobre un marbre virolat, recorda el sacrifici dels quatre homes que anaven a l'avió i que van morir quan es va estavellar: el pilot Jean Pierre Davenat, el copilot Jacques Ogier, el mecànic Roland Denard i l'ajudant Jack Le Bel.
