Summary

Description
English: Self made picture of Polygonum coccineum taken in Minnesota in August. Plants growing about 5 feet tall. Found in a dry pond, the normal form of this plant for this pond is the aquatic form with the leaves floating on the surface of the water, but its been a dry year so no water. Plants are upright growing and found with swamp milkweed, large sedges and Alisma subcordatum and Sagittaria rigida.
