Summary

Description
English: A replica of the world's first railway locomotive, Richard Trevithick's 0-4-0 Penydarren from 1804. The replica differs from the original only in using flanged wheels to enable it to run on modern flangeless track. This photo was taken on 31/05/2004 at the Rail200 railfest at the National Railway Museum, York - an event named for the bicentenary of this locomotive.
Deutsch: Nachbau der ersten Eisenbahn-Lokomotive der Welt: Richard Trevithicks Penydarren Baujahr 1804 mit der Achsfolge B. Der Nachbau unterscheidet sich vom Original nur durch die Räder mit Spurkranz, damit er auf modernen Schienen fahren kann. Das Foto wurde am 31. Mai 2004 auf dem National Railway Museum, York aufgenommen. Die Veranstaltung bezog sich auf die Zweihundertjahr-Feier dieser Lokomotive.
