Description
English: High magnification micrograph of a papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum (Warthin tumour), a benign tumour of salivary glands, that classically arises in the parotid gland. H&E stain.

Features of papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum seen in the image:

  • Papillae (nipple-shaped structures) - tubular masses of cells, with a two rows of pink (eosinophilic) epithelial cells with:
    • Cuboidal basal cells, and
    • Columnar luminal cells.
