DescriptionOld Kannada inscription (1197 AD) on porch wall in Mallikarjuna temple at Kuruvatti.jpg
English: This photograph of an old Kannada inscription of Hoysala King Veera Ballala II, dated 1197 A.D., was taken by me at the Mallikarjuna temple at Kuruvatti (also spelt Kuruvathi) in Karnataka state, India. This ornate temple is a fine example of 11th century Western (Kalyani) Chalukya architecture.
