DescriptionMoor Pat - fmr John Hutchinson barn, Leroy Herman Veterinary Hospital - Williamsville, New York - 20200727.jpg
English: Moor Pat, 78 East Spring Street, Williamsville, New York, July 2020. Though renowned today as a destination for craft beer lovers helmed by prominent local restaurateur and beer aficionado Mike Shatzel, the building that houses the Moor Pat has a long history that was honored in 2014 by its nomination as a Village of Williamsville Designated Landmark. A vernacular wood-frame building typical of those constructed in the early to mid-19th century, it originally served as a barn and was located on the farmstead of pioneer settler John Hutchinson (1792-1865), across Main Street roughly where the town hall stands currently. It was moved to its present site in 1909 and later served as a veterinary hospital, a cobbler's shop, and as the longtime home of Sweet Jenny's ice cream shop which is now located down the street in the historic Williamsville Water Mill. The Moor Pat has been in business in the building since 2014.
