日本語: 戊辰戦争の緒戦となった「伏見合戦」の開戦地であることを示す石碑。明治百年を記念し、昭和43年(1968年)に御香宮に建立された。内閣総理大臣・佐藤栄作の揮毫。
English: Monument of The Battle of Fushimi (The Battle of Toba - Fushimi). This stone monument was erected in 1968 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of war. The inscription was written by Prime Minister Eisaku Sato.
