English: Memorial for Richard Redding Vicar of St Giles church & Master of hospital in Stoke Poges.

Died aged 63 on 8 April 1718 leaving a widow and sister. Buried in a vault in St Giles' church, Stoke Poges.

Additional note about Stoke Poges Church and environment during his time as vicar: In the late 18th century Sir Robert Gayer and then his son owned the Manor house through to 1723; Dr Gregory Hascard, the Dean of Windsor owned Baylis house, then in Parish of Stoke Poges, through to 1708. He was one of the most celebrated preachers of his time

The Rectory Manor was owned by the Clarges family with Revd Richard Redding. One of his Patrons was Sir Thomas Clarges. He resided in the vicarage to which was located close to St Giles’, prior to its removal by John Penn (writer) the later Lord of the Manor of Stoke Poges.
