Summary

Description
English: Foraminifera consist of two separate morphs throughout their life cycle—the megalosphere and the microsphere. Despite the name, the megalosphere is the smaller of the two, as they derive their respective names from the size of the proloculus, or first chamber, rather than from the size of the complete test.
