This image, a historical photograph from 1956 depicts the deceased Tewa artist Margaret Tafoya and shows her large blackware pottery as well as her black-on-black pottery. She is known for making some of the largest pit-fired pots, and this photograph shows their scale in relation to other pots.

After searching online and ordering several books, I could find no free image that illustrates this. There is no non-free content available, nor can it be created as she is no longer living. Use of this image has no affect on the subject, nor will anyone be hurt financially if it is used in the encyclopedia. The photographer is probably no longer living if it was taken in 1956.
