Summary

Description
English: Magnetic tension is a restoring force with units of force density that acts to straighten bent magnetic field lines. The force, depicted by a horizontal arrow, is directed towards the center of curvature of the osculating circle (dotted) and has magnitude where is the curvature and is the strength of the magnetic field.
