Deutsch: Luftwaffe Douglas C-47B Skytrain (DC-3), eine C-47B-15-DK (ehem. USAF s/n 43-49455), Kennzeichen CA+015 der Flugbereitschaftsstaffel (FBS) Köln-Bonn der Bundesluftwaffe im August 1964. Die C-47B war um 1944 von der RAF als "Dakota IV" mit dem Kennzeichen KK135 übernommen worden. Am 09.03.1953 folgte die Abgabe an die Military Aircraft Assistance Group. 1956 wurde die C-47B-15-DK (s/n 43-49455) von der RAF (oder USAF) an die neue (west-)deutsche Luftwaffe übergeben. Von 1956-1958 diente sie als milit. Transportflugzeug mit dem Kennzeichen GA+115 (alternativ/reserviert auch GR+115) im Lufttransportgeschwader 61 (LTG 61) in Neubiberg b. München, danach Landsberg am Lech. Letzendlich wurde sie als N3161Q von einem priv. Luftfahrtunternehmen in den USA übernommen, der Übernahmezeitpunkt ist (noch) unbekannt. [1].   • Hinweis zum Aufnahmeort: Das Foto dürfte auf dem Vorfeld des Flugplatzes Penzing (Landsberg am Lech, Siehe Topogr. Karte 1:50.000 Auf BayernAtlas) entstanden sein, Blickrichtung Süd-Süd-Ost, das Wettersteingebirge ist im Hintergrund schwach erkennbar. Im nahen Hintergrund ist die bewaldete Erhebung zw. Pürgen u. Hofstetten zu vermuten - diese geogr. Annahmen sind jedoch zu verifizieren.
English: A Luftwaffe Douglas C-47B Skytrain (DC-3), a C-47B-15-DK (former USAF s/n 43-49455), registration CA+015 of the Bundesluftwaffe (German Air Force) Cologne-Bonn Air Support Squadron FBS (Flugbereitschaftsstaffel), in August 1964. The C-47B was taken over by the RAF around 1944 as ‘Dakota IV’ with the registration KK135. It was handed over to the Military Aircraft Assistance Group on 9 March 1953. In 1956, the C-47B-15-DK (s/n 43-49455) was handed over by the RAF (or USAF) to the new (West) German Air Force. From 1956-1958 it served as a military transport aircraft with the registration GA+115 (alternatively/reserved also GR+115) in the Lufttransportgeschwader 61 (LTG 61) in Neubiberg near Munich, then Landsberg am Lech. It was finally taken over by a private aviation company in the USA as N3161Q, the transfer date is (still) unknown. [2].
