Summary

Description
English: This two-story, public elementary school was an improvement of the one-story, public school building that was erected by the residents of Lavelle, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on Main Street during the late 1800s. This building was subsequently abandoned when students were transferred to another building. Public domain photo taken during the mid-1900s as part of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS PA-5441); photo provided by the U.S. Library of Congress.
