Summary

Description The upper portion (waist to hip) of a kilt, showing the stitched down pleats in this part of the kilt. The stitched down portion extends from the waist to the widest portion of the seat. If the kilt is worn properly (that is, on the waist, not the hips), the pleats from this point will fall straight down and not flare out. Photo is copyright © 2005 by James F. Perry.
