• A check of copyright renewals for The Milwaukee Sentinel at copyright.gov, indicates there were only three renewals dealing with "The Wishing Well" by William J. Miller for originals from 1959-1961. On this basis, there's no evidence that the newspaper continues to claim copyright on this material.
• As above, the license is changed to copyright not renewed.
