Difference image of AMSU-A channel 2 brightness temperatures September 12 and September 28 2002. Between these times hurricane Isiadore hit near New Orleans on September 26th, causing extensive flooding. Blue to purple regions are colder, and therefore wetter in the later image, indicating flooding.
