Czechoslovak Mission GAETH, Arthur, the first and onlypresident of the Czechoslovak Mis-sion prior to 1930, was born May 6,190.5, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Text Appearing After Image: son of Otto S. Gaeth and JosephineLindhardt. His parents joined theChurch when he was six years ofage and he was baptized by his fa-ther on August 27, 1913. The familymoved to Utah in April, 1919. Elder Gaeth was set apart on May11, 1926, by Apostle David O. Mc-Kay as a missionary to the Ger-man-Austrian Mission, where he la-bored for 36 months, during the lastyear as general superintendent ofauxiliary organizations. On May 19, 1929, after Elder Gaethhad been released from the German-Austrian Mission and was preparingto spend six months in the Swiss-German Mission, delivering illus-trated lectures on Utah and the Mor-mons, he was called by Pi-esident John A.
