Description
English: "Phytographie médicale", 'ornée de figures coloriées de grandeur naturelle, ou l'on expose l'histoire des poisons tirés du règne végétal'. Paris, Didot 1821(-24). Copper engravings by Edouard Hocquart (1787-1870). The author Joseph R. Roques (1772-1850) was a physician in Montpellier and Paris and who had acquired a reputation for his excellent work in botany. The work depicts mainly flowering plants and some fungi, and deals extensively with phytotoxins. 180 engraved plates, printed in colour and finished by hand.
