Description
English: Henry Busse in 1947.

Born in Germany, Hans Heinrich Maximilian “Henry” Busse came to the Northwest Territories as a pipefitter. He worked at isolated Port Radium, the secret source for Uranium, for the atomic bomb.

Amateur photos he took were of high enough quality he was able to become a professional photographer, NWT's first professional photographer. The Northwest Territories Archives houses tens of thousands of historic photos taken by Busse.
