English: Hassiavis cf. laticauda from the latest early or earliest middle Eocene of the Messel fossil site in Germany. A, C, SMF-ME 11702A. B, D, SMF-ME 11702B. In A and B, the fossils were coated with ammonium chloride. Scale bars represent 5 mm.
